Wine and Spirit Education Trust - Level 3
For individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines, this qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. The total qualification time for the Level 3 Award in Wines is 84 hours, made up of 32.5 guided learning hours, (including the 2.5 hour examination) and 51.5 hours private study. It is recommended that for all WSET Level 3 course formats you have read the book once prior to the first day of class. It is recommended that WSET Level 3 candidates have completed the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, or an equivalent level of knowledge prior to registration for Level 3.
Online Courses:
- Learn at your own pace with this asynchronous format. Instructor support is available and there will also be two online live supports session with a Linfield WSET instructor. Your e-textbook will be emailed directly to you.Â
- Cost: $1,100 includes course materials and exam. A Level 3 Wine Kit including 18 wines can be purchased and shipped to you for an additional $340 during the registration process. Exam must be completed in person at Linfield University due to the tasting assessment.
